Duet with Jo.

I wanted to hear Jo sing a peppy number. I suggested this song to him a couple of weeks ago but couldn't record until this week. As expected Jo did a great job. We both wanted to re-record as we were not satisfied with the overall result, but at the same time we wanted to post it :-) I have never tried an e-Duet, and I would say it's an interesting experience....Let us know what you think!!

This is one of my favorite songs,but could never get it right. I do not know anything about music, but I feel this song falls into the western melody category like "Yaar andha nilavu(TMS)", "Unnidam mayangugiren(KJJ)". All these songs have long notes. Longer the note, difficult it is to sing. Anyhow, I love singing this song.

This is my first attempt at recording using my new Shure SM58. Finally , no more $3 microphone from Wal-mart. I thought with better microphone I will sound better. But I was wrong. As the microphone gets better, it catches all your abaswaras. That makes me wonder, why did I buy this microphone in the first place. Well...Well..Shure...it Sure ROCKS. And special thanks to Jo for helping me setup this audio blog and recommending Shure and Cool Edit.

This is what I did:
Since I am using CoolEdit for the first time, I recorded this song without a break and applied echo. Hope I will learn more tricks about this tool very soon.
